SCHEDULE

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts from 15:00. Check-out is until 11:00.

Is it possible to check in before 15:00 ?

It depends on the availability of the apartment, as well as the schedule of the cleaning team, which cannot be know in advance. If you want to check in early, contact me the day before your arrival to ask if it is possible.

Is it possible to check in late at night?

Yes! With our self check-in, you can arrive at any time you want!

Is it possible to check out later than 11:00 ?

It depends on the availability of the apartment, as well as the schedule of the cleaning team, which cannot be know in advance. If you want to check out late, contact me the day before your departure to ask if it is possible.

Can I drop my luggage at the apartment before check-in and/or leave my luggage after check-out ?

Yes! If the apartment is not occupied, you may drop your luggage (or your car) at the apartment before check-in and/or leave them for a few hours after check-out. Contact me the day before to know from what time and/or until what time you can leave your luggage. Note that there are also bagage lockers at Part-Dieu station, as well as storage services that you can book online such as Nanny bag : https://www.nannybag.com/en/luggage-storage/lyon

CHECK-IN

How do I check in?

You can self check into the apartment, meaning you will not need to meet anyone to get the keys, you will simply have to follow our detailed instructions. These instructions will be sent to you when you do your online pre-checkin, that you will be invited to complete within 15 days prior to your arrival.

Is there a reception or someone on site?

No. The apartment is located in a residential building, which do not have a reception, and our cleaning team does not live there either. I will remain available by phone, text, Whatsapp or email.

CHECK-OUT

How do I check out?

Check-out can be done until 11:00. All you need to do is leave the keys inside the apartment and press a button to lock the door when you leave. Detailed instructions will be provided. We will kindly ask you to advise us of your time of departure so that we can organize cleaning.

PARKING

Is there a surcharge for the parking?

No! The use of the parking is always included in the price of your stay, wherever you made your booking from.

Where is the parking and is it secure?

The garage box is located in the 2nd basement of the building, which is accessible only to the residents who own a garage box. The parking is therefore perfectly safe.

How can I get to the parking when I arrive?

You must first park outside temporarily to do the check-in. The remote and instructions to access the parking will be available inside the apartment.

I have a big vehicule, is it a problem?

The vehicule must not exceed 1,75 meters height to be able to access the parking. Driving in the basement and parking into the garage box is fairly easy with a medium sized car, whereas very long or very large car will require a little more skills, but nothing impossible.

PARKING

Do I have to clean the apartment before I leave ?

No! Cleaning at the end of your stay is included in the price. We only ask that you to gather your rubbish and put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher before you leave.

Is there a cleaning service for long stays ?

For stays over 10 days, a weekly cleaning service is included, with change of bed sheets and towels. We can also organize additionnal cleaning service on request.

SHEETS & TOWELS

Do I need to bring my own linen?

No! Bed sheets are provided, as well as 2 towels per person : 1 big and 1 small. However for the crib, only the fitted sheet will be provided.

LONG STAYS

I would like to stay for over a month, is it possible and what is the price?

The apartment and its service are designed mainly for short stays, but we do accept stays up to 45 days. The price shown for stays over 30 days already includes a monthly discount, and is non negociable. For personal and practical reasons, we do not wish to rent the apartment for stays over 45 days.

FARES AND SURCHARGE

How are the fares calculated and where can I find the best price?

Fares vary according to the length of stay, the number of guests, the season, and the commission charged by the reservation website. By booking directly on our website, you can be sure to get the best possible fare of the web!

Is there something to pay on arrival?

No! Our prices are all inclusive.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

Why do you ask for a security deposit?

Most of the time, the deposit is just a formality, because our guests usually take good care of our home, and we do not charge them for small accidents. In case of bigger damage, we usually find an agreement with our guest. However, the security deposit is a precaution we still need to protect ourselves from less caring guests, who are rare but unfortunately real.

How does it work?

For reservations made via Airbnb or VRBO, the bond is handled directly through the website and it is not debited from your card unless the owner files a request. You don't need to do anything particular. For other bookings, we ask for a credit card imprint online via our secure platform (partner Stripe). No amount is debited, and the datas are deleted within 15 days following your departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Until when can I cancel my booking made on sixiemeciel.com ?

If you book directly on our website, our cancel policy is as follow :
  • 100% refund if you cancel at least 30 days before the arrival date
  • 75% refund if you cancel at least 21 days before the arrival date
  • 50% refund if you cancel at least 15 days before the arrival date
  • 25% refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the arrival date
  • No refund if you cancel lass than 7 days before the arrival date.

Until when can I cancel my booking made on another website (Booking.com, Airbnb, Tripadvisor, VRBO...)?

If you book through a third-party website, please check the cancel policy specified at the time of booking. Each website offers a limited choice of cancel policies to owners, with specific rules. Therefore, the conditions that applies are different according to the website from which the booking was made.

HOUSE RULES

Can I smoke in the apartment?

No. It is strictly forbiden to smoke inside the apartment. You may however smoke on the balcony.

Can I bring my pet?

No. We love animals but for hygiene, allergy and neighbors reasons, we no longer accept them in the apartment.

Do you authorize the reception of events?

No. The building is residential and in order to maintain good relationships with our neighbors, the reception of events, parties, or any activity that could disturb the neighbors are not permitted.

Can I rent the apartment to receive my clients ?

No. Commercial activities, as well as any activity contrary to common decency are not permitted.
